Reaching Critical Will Lists

General E-News Advisory. Produces, on average, two emails per month on general international disarmament news, updates for civil society wishing to participate in international fora, and all the newest from RCW. All updates from the Office for Disarmament Affairs and civil society concerning preparations for the NPT and other international disarmament fora are distributed through this subscription.

Conference on Disarmament (CD) Report. Features weekly reports throughout the Conference on Disarmament. This is the only NGO service that reports on the world's sole negotiating body for disarmament.

NPT News in Review. A daily publication produced during the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty Preparatory Committee and Review Conferences. It features analysis of the day's events, feature articles from NGOs around the world, interviews with diplomats and NGO representatives, nuclear facts, announcements, cartoons, calendar of events, and more.

First Committee Monitor. A weekly NGO newsletter produced during the entire session of the UN General Assembly First Committee. It is a cooperative project between a dozen New York-based NGOs that share the monitoring and reporting responsibilities at the GA. This subscription is available in PDF, HTML, or both, each with their own unique features and benefits. It is also available in plain text format.

    • Host: British American Security Information Council (BASIC).
    • Description: BASIC provides email updates on three of the issue areas it focuses on: missile defense, biological weapons, and Washington's nuclear weapons policy. All three provide analysis of the latest news, along with a selection of information and articles illustrating new trends in policy and public opinion and are sent out either once or twice a month. While examining events from all parts of the globe, the updates focus primarily on illuminating the swings and shifts of the US debate for a European audience.

  • The Non-Proliferation Review
    • Host: Center for Non-Proliferation Studies (CNS) at the Monterrey Institute of International Studies.
    • Description: The Non-Proliferation Review is a refereed journal concerned with the causes, consequences, and control of the spread of weapons of mass destruction (WMD). The Review features case studies, theoretical analyses, and policy debates on such issues as individual country programs, treaties and export controls, WMD terrorism, and economic and environmental effects of weapons proliferation.

    • Host: Arms Control Association.

    • Host: International Network of Engineers and Scientists Against Proliferation
    • Description: A forum for networking as well as for general discussion of issues concerning the non-proliferation and disarmament of nuclear, chemical and biological weapons of mass destruction, of missiles and other relevant delivery systems, as well as the prevention of missile defenses and space weapons.
