Thank you, Mr. President. I really appreciate the interesting meeting we have today and the remarks of the distinguished Director General of OPCW.

I just want to announce that Iran is organizing a conference on the 10th Anniversary of this Convention’s coming into force in Teheran on October 22nd and 23rd discussing different dimensions of the Convention and also a visit to the city of Sardasht is organized for the Conference’s participants, and you know Sardasht is the Iranian city in the Kurdish area of Iran, where chemical weapons were used by Iraq regime and we still have the victims dying each month and day.

Iran is a very active member of all negotiations in this room on Chemical Weapons Convention. And as a victim of this weapon, the Convention’s implementation is very important and this Conference is approaching the 10th anniversary, that it needs international attention more and more. I thank you so much.
