Thank you Mr. President

As coordinator of WEOG the delegation of Netherlands would like to congratulate you on the assumption of the Presidency of the Conference on Disarmament in this 2008 session. Thank you for your inspiring words. Please allow me to also thank the outgoing President, the distinguished Ambassador of Turkey for guiding us through our work in these last weeks.

We welcome you as our president and we assure you as a group of the full cooperation and support. We look forward to actively participate in the continued consultations in the Presidential Draft Decision contained in documents CD/1840 with the view to breaking the deadlock in the Conference and agreeing on a program of work for this very important and august body.
