Thank you very much sir. Mr. President

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome Ukraine’s term as President and to express my thanks and full support following your appointment as President and Canada highly appreciates the highly important by the statement made today by our French colleague. 

Canada strongly backs of the P6 to get the CD back to work as soon as possible. Accordingly Canada has considered carefully the new tabled draft program of work CD/1840 and is pleased to give it our full support. 

I would hope that all other delegations would approach this document with the same constructive spirit in order for the CD to reach an early consensus on this program of work
