Thank you very much, Mr. President.

Certainly, Canada would like to thank Susi Snyder, as President of the Geneva NGO Committee for Disarmament, who actually spoke on behalf of, as we know, a large number of committed, engaged and very knowledgeable NGO representatives who follow the work of the Conference on Disarmament. I look on them as real cheerleaders in terms of helping us, I hope, go forward. I really thank the group for this first presentation and for the type of engaged support that you have shown for the CD. I hope that we can have more of these, similar presentations to listen and partake in the type of wisdom that we do here from the NGO community and to really have more interactive dialogues with them
