Thank you Mr. Chairman.

I would just like to join the distinguished Ambassadors of Canada and Algeria in thanking Ms. Snyder for the wonderful insights in her presentation.

And I would also like to add my voice to Ambassador Grinius when he suggests that we could really benefit from more opportunities to hear from civil society.

But, I would also like to appeal perhaps to the Secretary and to UNIDIR that as we have not yet implemented a Programme of Work. I think, for one my delegation and many of the other observers and of course the member of the CD could benefit from some sort of orientation and training, really, in the issues in the Programme of Work, since I think that many of the learned delegates here perhaps take for granted that there is really a deep knowledge and background of the issues. So I would like to again ask if the Secretary and perhaps UNIDIR could look into some kind of further orientation and training of the CD and its Work Programme.
