In 2005, the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom, in collaboration with NGOs around the world, produced The Model Nuclear Inventory as part of the global efforts to create a culture of reporting. The Shadow Report offers a comprehensive, standardized set of guidelines by which States can report on their nuclear holdings, both military and civilian.

*Nuclear Disarmament: What NOW?! This booklet is intended to assist disarmament activists as they take on their own advocacy and outreach on the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. A sequel to the 2000 publication, "Nuclear Disarmament: What Next?", the 2005 edition features 13 prominent disarmament experts' views on the status and future of the 13 Practical Steps to Disarmament. Mr. Jayantha Dhanapala, former Under-Secretary General of the UN Department for Disarmament Affairs offers the introduction to the booklet.

*The News in Review: News in Review (NIR) is the daily newsletter produced during the NPT Preparatory Committee and Review Conferences by WILPF. News in Review intentionally broadens the debate to include NGO critique of energy, transport, mining and waste issues, in addition to weapon related concerns.

The News in Review Compendium

This compendium collects the best of the News in Review from the Review Conference in 2000, showing how the NPT is one of the most important routes through which change on the nuclear front will happen on weapons, but also energy, transport, mining and waste. The compendium invites and informs individuals and groups about getting involved in NGO activity in build up to the 2005 Review through information that is accessible, reproducible, and inspiring, containing useful one page lists, graphics, point form introductions and material chosen from NIR.

*Nuclear Disarmament: What Next?: This 25 page booklet features NGO experts analysis of the 13 point action plan arising from the 2000 Review Conference of the Non-Proliferation Treaty. The booklet contains

1. introduction to the NPT, upcoming meeting cycle
2. basic facts on the holdings and facilities of the Nuclear Weapon States
3. a list of the commitments of the NPT 2000 RevCon, outlining what could be achieved in the coming 5 year period
4. a list of sources, NGOs, websites and books

* Education Kit: Designed for activists and educators to use when teaching about the nuclear fuel cycle, our Education Kit is divided into two parts, the first containing some notes on HOW to t each this depressing material and the second is a tool box of fact sheets, activities and games for use in the classroom or workshop. Divided into sections on mining, nuclear power, nuclear weapons and waste, this took kit is WILPF's contribution to the Governmental Expert Panel on Disarmament Education, set up by the 2000 General Assembly.
