The Third Preparatory Committee for the Eleventh Review Conference of the NPT is around the corner!

From 28 April to 9 May 2025, the Third Preparatory Committee for the Eleventh Review Conference of the Parties to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) will take place at the at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.

The RCW team will be monitoring the PrepCom and will publish reports and analysis. To stay up to date, subscribe to receive the NPT News in Review by email. We will also post statements, documents, working papers, and other information from the conference on our website.

Below is some key logistical information for civil society participants:

UN Grounds Passes
If your registrations have been approved in Indico, you have received a confirmation email. Beginning on 25 April 2025, grounds passes valid for the duration of the Preparatory Committee session will be available for collection from the Pass and Identification Unit, at 320 East 45th Street. Participants are advised to go to the Pass and Identification Unit well in advance to allow enough time for security checks.
 
The Pass and Identification Unit, located at 320 East 45th Street (between 1st and 2nd Ave), will be open from 3 - 6 pm on Sunday 27 April, from 7 am - 2 pm on Monday 28 April, and from 9 am - 2 pm each weekday thereafter. Representatives will need to have their passport and a printed copy of the confirmation email with them to collect a grounds pass.

Travelling to the United States 
Due to recent development in the United States participants traveling to the US may wish to thoroughly prepare in accordance with current international travel requirements, which can vary based on individual circumstances.

Webcasting
If you are not able to go to New York or attend the meetings, you can still follow the conference through the UN Web TV. Make sure to tune in on 30 April, at 3 pm EST for NGO statements!
